"Depends on the event," he admits. "Sometimes I just slink away, other times I make exit strategies. Depends on the host and all those pesky details."

Like who he has connections with, who he couldn't care less if they saw him disappearing from their parties. It's never a one-size-fits-all.

He chuckles, leaning in slightly towards him. "I thought you had to wait for your sister? If you don't, then you're welcome to follow me home. Just as a warning, though, I'm headed to Vegas for the day tomorrow. Not for fun," he clarifies before he could give the wrong idea, even if he's already planning on skipping the ceremony, anyway.
